Ron Gabay is committed to making his website accessible to people with disabilities, in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Act and web accessibility regulations.

Accessibility Standard

This website complies with Israeli Standard IS 5568, based on WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. Accessibility was implemented at the code level (Code-Level Accessibility), not through an external overlay widget.

Accessibility Features

The website includes the following accessibility features:

  • Language tag (lang="he") and direction (dir="rtl") on the HTML element, with bilingual support (Hebrew and English)
  • Skip Navigation link at the top of every page
  • Semantic HTML structure: <header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>, <section>
  • All images include alternative text (alt). Decorative images are properly marked (alt="" aria-hidden="true")
  • All contact form fields include associated <label> elements, aria-required and aria-invalid attributes, and error messages with role="alert"
  • Decorative elements (icons, SVGs) marked with aria-hidden="true"
  • Full keyboard navigation: aria-expanded, aria-controls, Escape key support, focus management
  • Mobile menu button meets minimum 44x44 pixel touch target
  • Audio player in portfolio with keyboard navigation support and appropriate ARIA labels
  • Photo and video gallery with full alt descriptions and keyboard navigation
  • aria-current="page" on active navigation links
  • Proper heading hierarchy (h1 > h2 > h3) across all pages
  • External links (social media, WhatsApp) indicate "opens in new window"
  • Color contrast ratios meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
